A puzzle-based hacking game
Project: Another Use — Graftage is a simulation game for PC by Vagus Truman. You take control of an IT Specialist, tasked with rescuing people who are trapped in an office building due to a bug in the systems. You must hack corrupted machines and solve puzzles to secure their freedom.
Override machines to free others
In Project: Another Use — Graftage, or simply called Graftage, you are issued a jailbroken Notepad, which you use to access and hack machines around the office. The machines require you to solve a puzzle within a time limit to restore them or even gather useful information related to your objectives.
The game isn’t strictly a puzzle-solving simulator, but also has a narrative to it, since you can talk to the inhabitants of the building and record personal notes. Visually, it leans into minimalism, showing a clean design that perfectly complements the futuristic theme.
Good, but only to a niche audience
All in all, Project: Another Use — Graftage is an indie title with challenging hacking puzzles to crack. If you enjoy puzzle-solving games set in the distant future, then it’s a great pick. Otherwise, the lack of depth and engaging gameplay features is definitely going to turn you away.
